When publisher Thurman Boucher buys the Cambridge Daily Banner, former owner Linda Cushing becomes despondent over the way the Cobra--as he is known to his peers--is purging the paper's staff. Then Linda turns up dead--an apparent suicide, according to the Banner's headlines. But one of Linda's dear friends doesn't buy the story, and enlists Bethany to do some investigative reporting. The former college wrestler and iconoclastic hero-for-hire springs into action, body-pressing his way into the newspaper arena as Boucher's new right-hand man. What he doesn't count on is Boucher's sex-crazed wife--who'd like to satisfy her voracious appetite with Bethany. As Boucher concocts a lethal conspiracy, Bethany decides to bring him to his knees once and for all. But the power-hungry publisher is on to Bethany, and ready to deliver some punishing holds of his own....
