Kickers

Though they don't sing or smile or shake their hips while they're doing them, the English have many ancient customs and rituals which are SERIOUS FUN. Most of them aren't covered by current health and safety laws. And nobody makes money out of them, except maybe charities and breweries. In Tarbarton, they kicked teapots. Add to these Kickers a fugitive girl whose best auntie has gone mad with grief and whose best friend has been knocked out just when she's needed most, a witch who doesn't know where to draw the line, a cabal of nasty politicians, a meat pie magnate with a fixation, his thwarted wife, a plague of rats, an insane Police chief and the put-upon proprietor of a run-down hotel. Then add a bad jazz band, stir them all up together and enjoy the fun.
