When Jane Ross discovered that her younger brother, Kenny, had disappeared at the same time as his employer's safe had been robbed, she was horrified. Convinced that he was no thief, she was determined to learn the truth. By accepting a job in the garage where he worked and taking over his lodgings, both under an assumed name, Jane discovered that there was more to Kenny than she realised. And she was also surprised to learn that the outwardly aggressive garage owner, Doug Evans, was on her side after all.
