A REASON TO CELEBRATE

When Katie "Smith" and her baby son, Kyle, appeared at the Owens family home one night during a snowstorm only weeks before Christmas, it seemed a bizarre twist of fate, Katie looked exactly like Jacob Owens's dead wife; Kyle could have been his son.

At first Jacob wanted nothing to do with the mysterious woman at Holly Ridge. But before long, Katie accomplished what no one thought possible: She broke through his grief and gave him back his joy in living.

But how long would she stay? Katie was obviously running away from someone, though she wouldn't say who. Jacob vowed to keep her and Kyle safe with him -- at least until Christmas.
