Dr. Cathy Harris, left a widow with a small son, had no choice about working, but she could try to choose a good environment for Stephen, hence the move to Cotwolds. It was unfortunate that junior practice partner Dr. Max Armstrong seemed to have reservations about working mothers, even though his attraction to Cathy herself was blatantly obvious.
