Just Plain Cat

Chris never thought that a seven-week-old ball of fur could make such a difference in his life. But Tiger, his new kitten, manages to change everything! First of all, his stuck-up neighbor, Veronica, is no longer the only cat-owner around! Then, nothing is safe from Tiger—from his father's darkroom to his mother's newly varnished floor!

Everything else seems to be changing, too. Chris's best friend, Peter, is moved to a different reading group, his new third grade teacher is the dreaded Mrs. Marmelstein, and his father gets a big job—to photograph a life-size dollhouse.
