Just Like You

An anti-social, bookworm, Shakespeare fanfic, and music enthusiast, 17-year-old Miya Yui Sato, struggles with anxiety and depression ever since her best friend walked away from their friendship in seventh grade. What made it worse was the person she trusted the most happens to be her best friend. Miya had to deal with bullying, low-esteem, and an eating disorder. Before Miya starts her last year of high school, her mother forces her to visit her grandmother in South Carolina who she hasn't seen in a long time. That summer, Miya learns to make friends, letting go, forgiveness, and discover the importance of her self-worth.
