Just Good Friends

Meet Rosie Callahan and Mike Dailey, private eyes. The assignments they handle at Losers/Finders are not always dramatic: Philo the missing basset hound won't make the front page in Harbinger Falls. But Rosie looks at it philosophically—she and Mike both have rent to pay, and it does beat delivering pizzas. Besides, there is no one she would rather spend time with than her oldest and dearest friend. Unfortunately, all this togetherness is presenting Rosie with her toughest project: The Case of the Unrequited Love. How can she convince her best buddy that there is something more between them.

While Rosie mulls that one over, Mike is becoming emotionally involved with one of their clients, his old flame Pauline Vernon. Not to be outdone, Rosie begins dating Kendall Ames. Rosie and Mike both stew secretly in their own jealousy, while their friends and family smile knowingly. But it is not until a case puts them in mortal danger that they are able to admit what everyone already knows...
