The May trial of Chase Bromley grabbed the attention of not only Bostonians, but the entire country as well. While the Hernandez trial was garnering attention, and certainly the Marathon Bombing case in federal court a few doors down, the rape, torture, and murder of Sloane Nichols was in the national spotlight. The accused wasn't a professional athlete or on a terrorist watch list. Chase was, however, the son of the infamous billionaire and property developer Kenneth Bromley, which made him Boston Royalty.
