About This Book
Joseph was an important figure in the biblical book of Genesis. He was the son of Jacob and Rachel. He was Rachel's firstborn, and Jacob's eleventh son. He was favored by his father who presented him with a ‘long coat of many colors. When Joseph had two dreams, implying his supremacy over his brothers, it angered them. Out of jealousy, they sold him into slavery, where he rose to become the second most powerful man in Egypt.
