Johnny, Mike, and Branndon

Kathleen Paul's been thrown out of her mother's home and decides to begin a new life. Leaving it up to chance, she boards a bus heading for Riker's Creek where she meets Johnny. He's got his heart set on being a country singer, but it doesn't take long until his heart is set on Kathleen too.

Johnny's got competition when Mike returns from serving in the Vietnam War. And Branndon, a self-assured cowboy who's going to be a rodeo star, also sets his sights on Kathleen.

Can the four of them forge a successful relationship or will one event be destined to end their happily ever after?
