Nine year old David has to come to terms with the accidental death of his father. He is helped by a very special friend, Jazz, who appears unexpectedly from a small fishing trophy that his father won and his mother has included in a box of memories.Jazz's arrival is quite spectacular and amazing - he explains that he is on a mission to help David to cope with the changes that are so difficult for him.Jazz soon proves to be a funny, kind and wise character who will not leave until the time is right for David.
