Joel Murray has watched his Crew find their mates one by one, until he was the only one unmated. With the ongoing chaos in Genesis Valley, it's been a blessing in disguise. But while Joel may have accepted his single status, his bear certainly hasn't. 

Courtenay Laurel is the sole medical doctor employed by the Mining Consortium. She doesn't have time for flirting, dating, and the things that come with it. But when the tall, handsome and deliciously ripped bear shifter walks into her office, she's overwhelmed by the sudden intensity of their connection.

Even as things heat up between them, Joel knows that the brief moment of peace in the Valley is coming to an end. To protect Courtenay, he tries to put things on pause, so that she isn't dragged into the fray. But when things go sideways in a hurry, the only one who can help Joel is his mate.
