Professor Rick Ricardo, after his wife dies decides he has no real reason to stay in Miami. He sees an ad to teach history at the community college in Comanche Springs, Texas, the home town of his Vietnam War buddy, Robert Baker. He accepts the job, moves from Miami to Comanche Springs. He is not there a day when trouble finds him.
