Antoinette Blake, an American in England on a visit to her adult daughter, takes the “grand-dog” for a walk in the park. While there, she meets a British actor she’s had a crush on forever. She owns all his movies and has fantasized about meeting him.

Adam Knowles is as charming as Antoinette always imagined he’d be and she’s delighted when he asks to spend the afternoon with her. The more she gets to know him, the more she likes him but in the back of her mind is the fact that even though he’s over fifty and she’s in her forties, he has his pick of young actresses to be his companion.
