Fifteen-year-old Christy Miller's island vacation should have been dusted with the stuff dreams are made of, but instead it was tinged with emotions that had nothing to do with paradise.

Exploring the exotic island of Maui, celebrating her sixteenth birthday at a luau, holding hands in the moonlight with handsome Todd, didn't add up to all Christy had hoped. The problem came from an unexpected source, her best friend, Paula. As soon as Paula saw Todd, she never took her baby-blues off the goal of winning him, regardless what it took.
