Island Doctor

Writer and lecturer Dr. Bart Dunrose is about to make a trip to Brazil when he hears that his niece, Katy, has been made an orphan and that he is her guardian. Feeling it his duty, he visits her at her school on an island in the Indian Ocean, but is unsure what to do. Should he leave her there alone for the two years he will be away or must he forego his Brazilian journey? But the island has surprises in store for him and his eyes are opened to a truth he has always refused to recognizeâ€"that man cannot live by work alone. In love for the first time, he finds it hard to find the right words. Finally he succeeds, and in so doing, earns happiness for himself as well as for Katy.
