Into Thin Eyr

Eyr's island is destroyed by the Fall, a drop over the edge of the world. With a chameleon named Caviar by her side, Eyr travels from village to village and soon discovers that everyone is struggling to survive even if their methods make no sense, but she has to wonder... is survival even worth it?

Eyr's brother, a mechanical genius, invents a flying machine. She survives the Fall, finally free of her emperor's tyranny. However, the world down below is far from ideal, and mysterious creatures called chameleons seem to lurk around every corner. What is their secret, and why do they want to help Eyr survive even as those around her fade away?
