Tonesha Barnes has taken a phenomenal journey from her street life past and into the hopes of her new life and into a better future. What nags at Tonesha is a desire to know what has happened to her mother that still lives on the streets of Jamaica, New York. Determined to try to locate her mother before a brutal storm hits the eastern seaboard, Tonesha strikes out with acquaintance Jason Thompson to see if she can find her mother.
