About This Book
In life, one has to choose a path to follow. As a naive person, I chose to enter the glamorous world of Nursing. As a new Registered Nurse, I was prepared and eager to save the world, succor the sick, nurture the needy, and make a positive impact on all those with whom I rendered care. My idealistic enthusiasm was soon replaced with cynicism. The story starts with my training and progresses through my initial orientation into the realities of professional nursing. Throughout the story, I have picked the most colorful patients and influences along my path. A depiction, fictionalized, but based on fact and truth, for the sake of confidentially was portrayed though my eyes. The public view of nursing is one of a caring profession, and hospitals are viewed as places where sick people in need of services go to in order to get well. In reality, the hospital experiences are a mystery. the experiences are not always pleasant, and the outcomes are negative in many instances. So follow me and my nursing influences through a shocking view of the world of nursing and hospitals. Set in the 1980's, the book is bound to be an eye-opener to many, and controversial to others
