About This Book

This is book 6 of the Hepsom Abbey series and sees Cassie reunited with Elizabeth. During their separation she has had a son whom they decide to call Thom. Born with a delicate heart, Thom becomes the idyll of Cassie’s life. Elizabeth and Cassie decide to set up home in a quiet rural village outside Stratford Upon Avon where they both find jobs in local universities. All seems utter bliss until Elizabeth ups and leaves and takes Thom with her. Cassie suspects the invisible hand of Gareth in all of this and, very much against Elizabeth’s wishes, starts the legal fight to prove his right of inheritance of the Abbey. He does so despite the risk of publicity over his incestuous encounter with the woman he intends to prove was his mother. Hearn is as always his exciting and humorous self as he takes us through the highways and byways of contorted red herrings and shares the sadness of life with the wonderment of love.
