Janae has been trained in special weapons warfare since she was a child. She's part of a unique group of supernatural humans that have the ability to kill werewolves and vampires. STORY BEGINS

“Rachel, wake up.” The sound of Janae’s voice made Rachel’s eyelids flicker open, time for training.
“Training,” Rachel yawned and sat up.
“Yes, training--what, did you think we were going to sit around all day? Come on!” Janae said, literally dragging Rachel out of bed. After tossing on what clothing they had available, they stepped out of their unit and surrounded themselves with the burly trees of the forest.
“Where’s training taking place today?” Rachel questioned, flinching mildly as fragments of the sun’s rays hit her. Times like these made her thankful that she was only half vampire. She would have burned up a long time ago if she were full-blooded, but that still didn’t stop her from favoring the moon over the sun.
“I believe the head leader said it was going to take place on the far east end of the forest today.” Janae responded, running off with her childhood friend after saying so. Miles away laid treacherous booby traps designed to stop vampires and werewolves right in their tracks or just about any human that were to carelessly frolic through the forest perfect for a quick training session.
