Young Freddy Thugstin's father is murdered. His mother is implicated in his death and sentenced to an asylum for the criminally insane. By the age of twelve Freddy lives the ‘hard knock life' in the rough streets of Chicago's Southside.

Things take a dramatic turn for the worse when the desperate Senator hires a Mafia hit man to kill Freddy and retrieve the documents and the precious jewels.

With time running out and the election nearing, frantically, Freddy and Sasha run for their lives…right into a trap! They soon discover the real culprits responsible for his father's murder and it's the last person Freddy would ever imagine. This is the first book of Freddy Thugstin's dramatic saga.
