On a hot August morning they found her head tossed on a bare wood floor that had been removed with surgical precision. The head belonged to the mayor of Memphis, Richard Dennison's lady named Connie Flannigan.Dirk Bogart, a private dick, and his partner, owner of the night club named the Blue Note and piano player of the club's jazz trio had been assigned by the mayor personally to investigate the case. The duo had been involved in a lot of bizarre cases but this one was the most heinous and deadly case of them all.
