About This Book

He awakens with no memory and no past. All he sees is a white world that seems to stretch into eternity. He has no idea who he is or how he came to be in this place. One man's desperate attempt to regain his memory forms the basis for this imaginative thriller. As for clues, all the man has are the clothes on his back. He does not remember where he lives or his name. This is just the beginning of a perilous journey through a completely foreign place. Trapped in the white world, a pressing need to regain his memories propels the man onward. Seeking the truth about how he came to be here motivates his need to escape. But as he navigates the white world, he begins to remember little things that move him further along. Remembering more and more snippets, including his name and family, he begins to remember dark secrets. What he does with this information, and whether he can find his way home before the white prison consumes him, will become the most terrifying and enlightening adventure of his life. Author Lauren Scott is a 17-year-old high school student in Hayward, California. She was motivated to write the book in response to her own internal questions and struggles. "Author Dean Koontz inspired me with a letter that he wrote to me a long time ago, in which he told me I had talent, essentially setting me on my path toward pursuing my dream."
