Leave it to me, a real-life certified genius, to fall at the feet, literally, of a gorgeous man. Yeah, I'm a klutz and this isn't the first time I've slipped, tripped, or fallen, but did it have to be at that moment? Not all bad, though, because Ben needs help with his house renovation and I'm looking for a job. Lucky for him, I've held a hammer … once or twice. Anyway, I'm a quick learner, carpentry involves lots of math, and so I've got that covered. There's something else going on in his life, though. Secretive phone calls and mysterious absences. The vague references to his life in Halifax before he moved to MacLeod's Cove really pique my curiosity. You'd think someone in this small town would know something about the guy. Don't get me wrong, Ben's a great boss and super fun to talk to. And when he kissed me, and I kissed him back – woo, boy, keeping this casual is proving difficult. But I can't stop wondering about his secrets. That one time I challenged him, he promised to answer all my questions later.I'm still waiting. And maybe I won't like the answers.
