Jolene is a simple, small town school teacher. She tends toward chatter whenever she is uncomfortable, and feels awkward when around people. She dreams of travel and seeing the world but lives in her safe place of Kindergartners and books. When her childhood friend gets married she is overwhelmed by the elegant proceedings. A fancy makeover by a distinguished make-up artist from New York pushes her out of her comfort zone. For some reason, this man, James Jackson, is not put off by her conversation and somehow, despite their differences they strike up an unlikely friendship. Jolene's world is small but new opportunities present themselves. Her new friend invites her to Paris as a travel companion. Can she learn to bite her tongue and not scare off every man she comes across? Should she stay in her lane and continue the life she loves or take a chance of a lifetime?
