I heard the eagle call my name is a love story, a story of Mark's love for Mary. Can a man love only one woman throughout his life? Mark believed that they had met in a previous existence and that love had remained inside him. Mark was haunted throughout his life by visions of an enormous eagle who would one day swoop down call his name, clamp huge talons to his shoulders and take his life away. He had seen the eagle many times but the eagle teased him, sweeping down but not yet crying his name. Mark had been badly injured in a helicopter crash. Whilst in hospital he relived scenes from his life, scenes that convinced him their love was meant to be. If he did not tell his story then he would pass this World without anyone knowing his name, that a man can love but one woman. I heard the eagle call my name is his story.
