Wolves have returned to Florida, or at least in eastern Big Cypress County, and no one knows why or how. Janos Pac, the new Witch of the Wood, is desperately trying to hold the old Circle together, but the grief of Flora May Crawford's death is pulling them apart. But how gone is the former Witch of the Wood? Her apparition shows up to deliver a cryptic message to Innes, her former protégé. Who has no idea what she's talking about, as usual.

Stone, the youngest member of the Circle, is feeling left out and is the only one to show up for Samhain. After his first cup of tea, the blue kind, things take an unexpected turn. Such as a very attractive naked man showing up in the meadow with yet another cryptic message. This message leads to an encounter with the Son of Coyote, nothing messianic here folks.
