After the War Between the States, the settlers streamed west by the thousands. The virgin territory beckoned, offering the richest promise a man could desire.

THE IRON HORSE
The journey across the plains was endless, treacherous and deadly. Then the railroad came, its parallel lines of steel spearing the wilderness.

THE OUTLAWS
Lean-jawed men with snakes' eyes and rough humor, they plundered where they could—until the Law came to the West and cut them down forever.
