LIZ WALKER LONGS TO ADOPT the scruffy stray she finds on her doorstep one day. But she can't take her home -- her aunt Alice is allergic to dogs.

With the help of her brother, Bruce, Liz manages to find the perfect home for Sadie—and her newborn puppies: an abandoned house down the street. Once their secret "hotel" opens for business, though, there's no turning back. They just have to take in Red Rover, the beautiful Irish setter who's been mistreated by their neighbor. And then MacTavish, the terrier abandoned by his family. . . . But how long can Liz and Bruce keep a houseful of dogs before a bark gives them away?
