Hope, Last Year's Model

Shunned in high school as she struggles to fit in with kids who simply don’t understand her, Hope feels the pressures of any other teenager. Since awakening in the body of a battle robot known as GDR-8, Hope struggles to cope with her seemingly vain attempts to be a normal teenage girl as she fights to protect the Earth against alien invaders, especially the conquering robot empire known as the Hive, and this makes fitting in with her peers even more difficult. But, the day comes when she must face the reality that the Hive has robots she is no match for, and worse, she must face the possibility of being replaced.
