Regardless of gender, all detectives are created equal in the homicide bureau. When longtime partners Mack Layton and Dani Coop Cooper go out for a celebratory drink after nailing a suspect in a murder case, their good time quickly turns tragic when an armed assailant mistakes them for an unsuspecting couple. With Mack's life on the line, Coop is forced to make a split-second decision that will not only make her question her own morals but will shake up both her professional and personal relationships with her partner.
