Former college softball star, Laurie Stevens, now a coach for 12-year-old girls, knows what it means to playball in this die-hard, competitive sport. The cut-throat attitudes. Scholarships and college scouts. Determined to give these girls what she never had, Laurie runs a team where only one thing matters: playing for fun. At least until Major League Baseball star, Jack Evans, chooses her team for his lonely, attention-starved daughter. Except where Jack goes, so follows the media. The attention. The scouts. Right onto her field and into a past Laurie had long thought buried.
