About This Book

There have been many stories told about what happens when a member of the military is overseas during a war. There have been several stories told about what has happened to young soldiers upon their return from combat. These all focus on home-comings which unfortunately had some type of grief involved. HOME AT LAST looks at a normal home-coming for a sailor who had been away for an extended period of time. The story highlights the sailor's indoctrination back into normal civilian life. Things that are normal run-of-the-mill occurrences which we never think about can seem strange to someone who has not seen them for a while, if even then. All of the events mentioned in the story actually happened. Thankfully, they did not all happen to one man as the story depicts.
