Kennedy High actress Lily Rorshack is not so sure she'll be able to remain true to her boyfriend, Jonathan, while he's away at college. She knows school plays have a way of creating romance. Then she hears her next co-star will be someone called Buford Wodjovodski. Why worry about a boy with a name like that?

But Lily finds out that you can't judge a book by its title when Buford turns out to be great-looking, charming, talented—and interested in her.
