His Rules

My endeavors to find the right man had afforded me countless hookups, infidelity, and a handful of one-night-stands.   Then, one day, Marc Watson stepped into my life. He was handsome, and not the kind that could be satisfied by taking a second look, he made you want to go deeper.  Men like him were on the covers of magazines and the subject of every woman's dreams. He seduced me verbally, luring me closer with each carefully chosen word. Fascinated by his intellect, I mentally begged for more. He sensed my desire and fed me as if I were starving. He taught me things about myself. His understanding of human nature was second to none. He was also a compassionate man. Kind. Above all things, he was always kind. There was only one thing about him that troubled me.  His rule.  To get a shot at forever with him, I first had to agree follow his rule.  What he asked of me was the opposite of everything I had done in the past, but he assured me if I could comply, the reward would be mind-blowing.  I'd never been one to back down from a challenge, so I took the deal. Little did I know that doing so would change my life forever.
