Hidden Treasure

HIDDEN TREASURE is the story of a black antiques dealer and a white army officer who find each other, a fabulous Chippendale chair, and a brilliant criminal who has made off with some of America's greatest antiques. Billy Partlin and Jake Barnes buy a puzzling battered chair at a country auction and Billy discovers it has very historic connections. When the chair is stolen from his home, Billy sets out to get back his one great find. He uncovers the thief, his chair, a treasure trove of stolen antiques, and is imprisoned and left to die. Jake searches for Billy and his captor who is punished in a twist of justice that reflects as much on the business of antiques and auctions as it does on the rule of law.
