Nurse Rennie Phillips grabs the opportunity of sailing round the world on the yacht Spindrift as nanny to the Carmichael family, the ideal way to cure a broken heart. But an emergency call at the South Sea island of Tavalei shatters her new-found calm. The hospital there is run by Dr. Craig Mackenzie, the one man she is trying to forget.
