When Scott rescues Rachel from being attacked in the park, his mundane life as a librarian transforms into a rollercoaster ride he never imagined. The mysterious Rachel dashes off before giving Scott her name, but he tracks the black beauty down and learns a diabolical gangster demands money in exchange for her brother's life. Even though Rachel doesn't want Scott involved, she is incredibly attracted to him and he becomes the only person she can depend on. One night, an intimate game at the library spawns a passionate encounter and the two fall in love. But, if the gangster doesn't get what he's owed, Rachel and Scott's romance will be over as quickly as it started.
