Her Mother's Sins

Set in 1903 England, a gothic tale of jealousy, lies and betrayal. When Catherine Benedict refuses to marry the man her father has chosen for her, he lets slip a dark secret, causing Catherine to fear for her very life. The young girl discovers that it was not love her father felt for her dead mother, but hatred. Catherine has always sensed her late mother's presence in the gloomy house; heard her voice uttering warnings and reassurances. Now she knows she must escape her father's control for the sake of her sanity - perhaps her life. Her only means of escape from her loveless home appears to be into the typical Victorian marriage trap.
