Help from a Stranger

It was a house for gay, noisy people to live in, a strange, Continental-style house, hidden away in the Yorkshire dales. Friends had brought Karen Crane to it when she was in need of help, but one morning she awakened to find them gone, without word. Alone and frightened, Karen had rushed out, into the driving rain of the moors and into the arms of a stranger.

In their tangled love ran a dark thread, winding itself round and round Karen, until she was cut free by the man whose faith in her gave her back her happiness.
