Heir to Balgennan

Elizabeth Colville, accompanied by a servant and a small party of horsemen, set out from Wrykin Hall in Cumberland to travel to Balgennan in south-west Scotland, where she is pledged to marry her Cousin Archibald. News is brought to Wrykin by Gavin Johnson, Squire to Balgennan, that the party did not arrive, and only one man was found dead of head injuries.
