Patti Thompson, RN, misser her special friends at Seattle's Shepherd of Love Hospital. Seeing the married nurses on and off duty is not the same as sharing living quarters. When will she find her own happiness in marriage?

Lonely and recovering from a bad experience, Pattie accepts a proposal, but questions her own heart. She prays for a chance to get away and sort things out.

Then Patti's prayers are answered. She inherits a log cabin near Kalispell, Montana, and takes a leave of absence. She also reluctantly agrees to fly with a helicopter service that provides medical help to outlying areas. Animosity from pilot Scott Sloan threatens Patti's hardwon peace, however, and a fight for survival in the treacherous Land of Shining Mountains endangers both Patti's and Scott's lives. Will Patti ever return to Shepherd of Love Hospital?
