Fourteen-year-old Maggie Mason has two problems: She's a freshman in high school, and she's in love.

Maggie has a major crush on gorgeous Adam DeLong, who doesn't even know she's alive. But Maggie is determined to make him notice her, no matter what. The problem is, whenever she tries to impress Adam, her plans backfire.
