About This Book

Michael Lorne led a staid, agreeable life at 13 Tiverton St, Bloomsbury. He was a writer and quite a successful one; with a mongrel called Amy, and an agent called Marian to manage his business affairs.
But even the staidest life has it's moments of excitement, and Michael had been, years back, in a dangerous cafe brawl, in a little Latvian seaport on the Baltic.
And now his sober life came slap up against this old, almost forgotten incident, and he was snatched by telegram from the warmth of Tiverton Street to the bleak Suffolk countryside, to a hunt of murderous intensity, a Latvian film star, and a girl called Janet Howard.
