Someone's hacking into NASA's computers--and doing enough damage to threaten the upcoming shuttle mission.

Computer security investigator Julie Blake and partner Vic Paoli know that clients don't get any more prestigious than this. Though frankly Julie isn't thrilled that the stiletto-heeled PR woman who hired them is an old flame of Vic's, and is clearly still burning a few thrusters.

Once in Houston, the air of menace is tangible, as is the paranoia, fear and eerie whispers that the hacker is...not of this world. But when one of the astronauts dies, Julie, between trying to keep Vic out of a certain someone's perfumed orbit and hunting for a killer hacker, fears that she may uncover the true meaning of the words dead, space.
