About This Book

Once in a blue moon a person will cross paths with someone so remarkable that they are never forgotten. For me, that person was Emma. I first met Emma sophomore year of college. By pure coincidence we sat together for lunch one day with mutual friends. We were both in engineering school – myself a mechanical and Emma a chemical. Emma was the girl who was involved in almost every club, extracurricular, event, or volunteer opportunity that you can think of. She was also the most bubbly, outgoing person you could ever meet. She was never in a bad mood – anytime we crossed paths I noticed she was just happy to be there, smiling ear to ear, chatting it up with classmates, just be-bopping around. That in itself is super intimidating for a guy like me.
