Haley knew that following Zachery around like a puppy was foolish, but he'd told her that he loved her. His parents had taken a restraining order out on her, but she didn't care. Zachery wanted her to attend the University of California with him because he didn't care what his parents thought; he told her that he wanted her to be a significant part of the ministry he planned to build. He led her to believe that God wanted her soul to reach heaven. She believed it all and paid homage to both God and Zachary. Zachery told his congregation that God spoke through him. She helped him increase his congregation and when he told her that she had to give up her worldly possessions, she did. By the time she realized that Addison was the devil incarnate, it was too late and she lived in fear for her life.
