Stuart is trying desperately to fit in at school, but there's only one thing he's ever been good at-solving crime. When the most popular girl in his grade comes to him for help when her father is kidnapped, Stuart convinces his only friend Timothy-a grade A geek of the highest caliber-to help solve the case. As Madison joins the team, the boys hope to gain popularity while unraveling a mystery that has much deeper and twisted roots than they could have possibly anticipated. Stuart and Timothy must decide whether to keep digging and uncover the truth or run away, returning to a life of purple nurples and swirlies while simultaneously letting down the one girl who's ever talked to them.
